I have a 1985 chevy truck when does it turn into a classic? Is it true once its a classic you dont need to worry about emissions inspection sticker in the state of Texas?(williamson county)

In MN it turns into one after 20 years. Then laws like that dont apply however you can only drive it on sundays and to and from auto shows. Most cops dont know that part so you might be ok if its the same in TX as it is in MN.
