    I think the question should be which one is better. I believe the book is because you get to use your imagination. :) So I guess in response to your question the movies would be worse.

    I love reading Harry Potter's books, both are good but I prefer reading books first before watching the movies. The book has the complete story while in the movie they only showed some of the books part..
