When dealing with someone who has offended you in the past, are you more likely to rise to anger faster than you would with someone who has not offended you in the past?

I'm not sure, I never thought about that before. That's a really good question. If someone continually offends me I think that it should be me that I get angry with because I keep on allowing that person to offend me. I think I would be more disappointed with the person who hasn't offended me because I would be shocked. I don't rise to anger easily.

Good question. I've encountered people online and in my personal life that I've found offensive. And, yes...if they've offended me in the past, I tend to expect it from them when I encounter them again. Some so much that I get angry just anticipating them being offensive.

I do not think that "rising to anger" is the appropriate phrase. If the person has offended me in the past, I am likely to dismiss them as a person faster than I would someone who has not. They would hit my cold ignore or whatever it took to get them away from me very quickly. I do not tend to get angry. I get icy cold and disgusted.
