That's a great question. Sheepskin, like leather, is a by-product of the food industry. People need to eat, and sheep (and cows) are among the animals that humans consume. For those who would consider wearing ugg boots as a vote for animal cruelty, keep in mind that sheep would still be consumed by people even if there wasn't demand for sheepskin footwear.
