I just looked it up on MSN and it did pass but it's not free money. You will have to claim it on your 2009 income tax returns. The only people this is free money to are the people that earned up to $3000 or was a veteran. Everyone else will have to pay it back. It's an advance. It is an attempt at a quick fix on the economy. The president wants us to spend it as soon as we get it.
