  • At the mall on Christmas Eve a few years ago, this woman stopped me at her stall and started showing me this fingernail polish stuff, I think it was called "Dead Sea something or other". Anyway, she spent 15 minutes showing me all of what it can do and even sampling it on a few of my nails. I listened out of politeness, not wanting to cut her off and then ended up buying two of them for my mother and girlfriend just because I would have felt bad saying no after all that time. They did work pretty well though. :p
  • When I was a bit younger in undergrad that used to happen a lot: the (cute) cashier at the grocery store would say 'Do you want to donate $5 to starving children somewhere' and of course I'd say yes. Nowadays I man up and just say "I would, but I can't - thanks". The only exception is for Thin Mints.
  • i tell the girl scouts "i'm broke. see?..." then i pull my pockets inside out...

  • Yes all the time and every person with a Charity pot or ticket sees me coming.
