Saying you're a Republican or a Democrat means next to nothing these days. Are you fiscally conservative? Are you part of the religious right? I think that Hillary would be significantly less disastrous for the country than McCain, but I, as a liberal, prefer Obama. Even though I'm way to the left of you on the spectrum, I think we can both admit that McCain is insane. Vote on whoever has the best chance of defeating him.

hillary is a consummate liar. she will do what she can to appear as moderate as she can (because moderate is the new black) to get as many votes as she can. she and her husband's history in our country is peppered at best with shoddy business dealings. i don't trust her any farther than i can throw her and i do *NOT* think that she'd be a good president for this country.

My concern about Hillary is that she will polarize the voters, like Bush did before her. I think because Obama and McCain are popular with independents, they have a better chance of unifying the country. http://www.republicansforobama.org/?q=homepage There isn't a "republicans for hillary" web site. There is a "republicans for hillary blog" -- but they switched their allegiance to Obama last summer... http://republicansforhillary.blogspot.com/

The best use of your vote is to cast it. Exercise your own judgment. Anybody who gets the nomination of his/her party certainly has minimum qualifications and enough support to make, at least a mediocre president. We haven't had a really great president for so long that I've given up hope. My personal opinion is that Obama offers the best potential for being a great president, better than Clinton. Having said that, I honestly believe Clinton will make a good president. I voted for Obama in the primary and would certainly vote for him in the general election. But I would support Clinton over McCain (and Obama over McCain). McCain has some good ideas but his statement that we're goign to be in Iraq another 100 years sort of frightens me.
