Yes, especially early in the quiet morning while I'm sipping coffee and that thing just JUMPS up. It is very startling!

Occasionally, like when it sneaks up one me when I'm in the bath tub.... Or when I go into the bedroom and it's hiding under the covers.... kinda creepy.

In the morning when I get up for work in the dark it sometimes jumps out from under the ironing board . He's a little devil sometimes. To get it back I put my grandads odour eaters in it . He hates that.

He plots all week, and then Saturday morning rolls around and he knows I am going to use him. Sometimes it is just a small scare, but one day I know all his free time is going to come together in a malicious mastermind of a plan.

As I don't have a toaster, it would scare the crap outta me!

Yes, especially after I set something in there too long and I'm alerted by the burnt smell usually while preoccupied in the living room whilst I forgot that I was toasting something in the first place.

When I set the toaster - I make sure I'm stood up. I make sure I don't have chewing gum. I make sure I don't have a drink in my hand. I make sure anything in my hands is down. Because frankly, the blasted thing gets me every time. My avatar broke. :(

My toaster once broke my light...funny story. So I was getting ready for school and I put my bread in the toaster and put it on and go upstairs to shower. I heard it pop and nothing sounded unusual. When I came back downstairs my toaster had decided to fling my toast up into the light and both pieces were stuck up there. The made a sizable whole in the light casing and i jumped up and down a few times and ate my breakfast. My mom was dumbfounded to see the light having two holes and crumbs in it though.

I had a cigerett lighter fall off of refrigerator and land in toster and got hot and blew the toster apart.

I put my toaster way back in the corner of my kitchen so it wouldn't startle me too much. I heard it 'pop' and went over to get my toast. It wasn't in the toaster, it popped up and flew clear over behind the coffee maker.

Absolutley, You put your food in.. and you sorta forget about it and then... BOOM! out comes your food. Yea it scares me sometimes.

You know, I always feel like when I put the toast in it will scare me when it pops but it never does.
