Getting pregnant requires actual intercourse, meaning the penis is inserted into the vagina. It is not possible to get pregnant any other way (or not probable). If a penis has been inserted (at any time of the month), pregnancy is possible. My ovulation period lasts about three days (it is painful so I can tell). When a female is ovulating, this means that her egg, on either her right ovary or left ovary (they alternate each month), has descended. During this period, the woman is especially susceptible to pregnancy because the sperm does not have as far to go, and thus has more of a success rate is ensured. This is at least how I understand it...

It's not possible to get pregnant if you're not sexually active. You may want to check an online ovulation calendar to see when you're most fertile. Good luck!
