Why is it so hard for me to learn french? Who has the best program to help me become fluent?

I've heard good things about the Rosetta Stone series http://www.rosettastone.com/ The problem is, it's really expensive software. But a lot of people swear by it, so if it's really important to you, it might be worth the cost?

To begin with French is a difficult language, it has a huge vocabulary and grammar and most verbs are declined. If your mother language is one that belongs to the Romance language group, then it will be easier to learn it. But if your mother tongue/language is English it will be quite difficult due to the language structure. This is the reason why many years ago when I was in school, we were obliged to learn Latin though we studied in French and English. I did not enjoy the Latin classes but as time went by I truly noticed it did make a tremendous difference as it was easier to learn other languages.

Go to France and you will learn it quickly enough.
