If you intend to receive a refund or one of those rebate checks they are sending out (so they say), you would have a problem. I'm not sure what you mean by don't notify the IRS. It isn't necessary to give the IRS your address every time you move. They will be notified of your address when you give it to your employer, or change your driver's license, or have your mail forwarded.
