If a friend on AB tells you that you can contact him/her anytime with any problem you may me going through, would you usually take him/her up on the offer. If not, why?

it depends on how well you know the person and if you actualy trust them or not.....if you dont think you know them that well then dont take them up on the offer....they may just be trying to exploit you

If I have had significant interaction with the person (on and off line) then yes I would. I have done it for others and have been extremely (did I say extremely) grateful to those that have offered me a shoulder to cry on.

I would really appreciate the offer, BUT, no . I most likely would not, because I'm an extremely independent and VERY private person.

It depends. Usually I keep most things to myself, but occasionally when I need serious help I do reach out to AB asking for it. Many users have offered me their hand in friendship, and asked me to talk to them when I need something. Some of these offers I have accepted, others I have appreciated but other than that disregarded. It just depends on the person and the circumstance.

I've had a few people from AB actually extend that sort of offer to me. In most cases, I at least spend some time talking to them about my problems, but I've learnt from experience that it very rarely helps me, so I've started taking up those offers less and less lately.

No I wouldn't because I hate talking about my problems. I would rather just brood until I think of a solution on my own. That's just me. It's the Cancer in me. The astrological sign. I don't have cancer. I have offered help and advice to a select few, however. Some have taken me up on it and some haven't.

i don't think i would but that's mostly because i don't know any of them personally and the friends that i do have in real life are so amazing that i've rarely had a time where i didn't know where i could go.

I might depending on the problem. I have to turn to somewhere and all of my friends are online anyway. I would keep more private things to myself but some of them I would share with someone.

I'm more a listener than a talker. My friends have always come to me with their problems, but I usually keep things to myself so I don't become a bother--I have LOTS of problems! :) If any of my AB friends ever wants someone to vent to or needs a solution to their problems, I am always willing to listen and give whatever advice or help I can.

Yes sure. I would be happy to listen and solve if could. Cause as they wanted someone to take to about their problems you may also want someone to take to. Am all ears to you all.

Not usually because I have a hard time understanding people via chat and even on the phone. If I am really struggling, I am better off if I can talk to someone face to face. However, if it were a time that I felt like I didn't have someone else I could talk to then yes, I have friends on AB that I know I could go to with anything.

It may be a great way to get either support or an unbiased answer to a dilemma. I sure would turn to my new friends here on AB. Some of them are becoming quite endearing to me.
