Credit card debt should be your top priority, after rent, sustenance (not more than you need), and transportation to your job. You should probably consider moving into a low rent (utilities included) apartment to help with your bills.

Start by making a list of what your spending your money on. Do this for a month. Find out where you could do some cut backs. Try to put at least 500.00 in savings for emergencies. then;(not the emergency fund) Use that cut back money to put towards your lowest amount owed on credit card. Never send money. Best to send cashiers check, save all receits, cashiers checks can't bounce.:) keep doing this till paid in full. then move on to next credit card. After you pay off the first one....you'll get the pay off fever! Don't cancel paid off credit cards. Don't use them either. This will count as unused credit. Looks good on paper
