Prejudice and intolerance or abuse of people or animals. Anytime I get into a conversation with someone who bashes any ethnicity or sexual preference and uses crude and stereotypical attitudes and/or terminology, it depresses me. Likewise, anytime I hear about someone attacking an 80-year-old woman for her money, shaking a baby, beating a woman, child, animal, or a man, for that matter, it sickens and depresses me. I don't understand outright hatred for any ethnicity or sexual preference and I likewise don't understand why anyone wants to 'hit' or 'attack' anyone and beat up on them. The idea of using my fists to hurt is abhorrent to me and would be only a defensive move and a last resort. :( Lack of empathy and understanding would perhaps be a better way to sum this up.
