  • Yes, so there can be even MORE of us! Not at all. Even if it did open up more land, it would be at the cost of dozens of native species just in that part of the world. When global warming was finished with its business, all the coastal cities would be flooded and uninhabitable, so any land we would gain would pale in comparison to the land lost.
  • I lived in Alaska... Therefore the land is habitable. If we all moved to Alaska because global warming had melted all the snow, I'm not sure we'd have a whole lot of land mass to stand on. We aren't sure how much would be submersed under water. Of course global warming is not a good thing.
  • No, not at all. Humans cannot inhabit a much higher percentage of the earth's surface. We have to leave room for the rest of the ecosystem. Otherwise, the ecosystem will perish, and so will humans along with it. Oh, another will arise, but humans won't be part of it.
  • Much of Alaska will turn to mush when the permafrost melts (it already is). This mush will belch Methane when it warms and rots. Methane is a far worse for global warming gas then is Carbon Dioxide. We are so screwed.... but good news ! The earth has a thermostat ! (it must have one to keep this regular for so long). Coming Soon: Mankind's Artificially Induced Ice Age Earth's response to an irritating pathogen.....
  • Good point, Im gonna buy some land! Thanks!
  • Alaska only make up about 16% of the total land mass of the United States.
  • You all guys can stay down there for now. GW is a hoax. My 2 cents.
