what exactly do you mean? the only way to pay off a credit card is to pay it off....whether you do so out right or with the help of a debt consolidation company (but becareful to research the company first) the only way to permanently get out of credit card debt is to pay it off, period.

You could sell your car and send a check to the credit card company. You could borrow money from another company and send the check to the credit card company Both of the above could be made by wire transfer You can send the largest check possible to the company every month. Anything over and above the interest (minimum payment)will go toward paying it off. You have to stop using the credit card so there are no new charges, and the money you send them will eventually pay off the debt. The most important thing is to send them more payments than you have charges. We pay our entire balance every month, so we never pay any interest or fees.

You need to go back and look at the other question you asked, same question, just worded alittle different.

Best method is multiple payments per month. This is easy with electronic payments. If you break your minimum payment in half or every week and pay by the week or bi-monthly you will pay it off in less than half the time. If the cards are charged off as bad debt which happens after 90 days of not paying it is best to call the card company and negotiate a settlement offer. Most of the time they will reduce the amount to what you actually charged or less. If you have cash to pay it off always call and negotiate.

It depends on the credit card issuer. Mine allows payment by money order, paper check, e-check, electronic transfer from savings... I suppose I could do a balance transfer, too, but those tend to take a while to process and I wouldn't want to rack up any finance charges.

In the past I have used: cash personal checks money order traveller's check official cashier's check electronic check electronic transer from a checking account wired money directly to an account credit card number by phone balance transfer to/from another credit card The methods of making a payment these days seem to be ever increasing, so there's probably other ways to do it also. How do you intend to use this information? Is it a hypothetical question just wondering about the nature of money? If you are making some actual plans, then of course you should check with your particular credit card company.
