There are tests that kids are usually given through school to see how proficiently that they read. I know the average of people that can read at their proper level just keeps going down and down. Here's a website where you can actually test your reading speed. http://www.readingsoft.com/ I read fairly fast and if it's a good book, it takes me maybe two hours to read 350 pg book.
