Is there such a thing on AB as giving a fellow AB'er too much high ratings/points?kindly explain.

Every week you are alotted 25 uprates for any individual user. After that, you will recieve a message that: "You have given this user too many positive ratings for the past week. We know you are trying to help, but other users can use your input as well."

I just got a pop up thing that said Answerbag was sorry but I had already given the person too many points and others would like my input. Is that normal?

not for me ...I always give max points for any Q or A that I see fit to give them to, I am never tight with my points ... they don't cost anything except taking the time to award them

AB rules are set up so that after you have given out "too many" points to one person, you will be prevented from giving more, for up to one week, I believe. You can give out as many points as you want as long as they go to all different people, as far as I know.

G'day Spunts, Thank you for your question. There is a limit of 25 per week in order to discourage point gaming. When I reach my limit, I generally leave a comment that I would have awarded points for the answer but for the limit. Regards
