    Push the hold button to on and then off. Immediately hold down both the menu and middle button until it reboots.

    You can reset it by following these steps: 1. Connect your iPod to the iPod Power Adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet 2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off 3. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears (about 6 to 10 seconds). You may need to repeat this step.
