  • Have you priced a train lately?
  • I am down to 300 dollars now...
  • 700 dollars..ya probably if you really work hard at finding a job...300$ kinda cutting it short...but i think you could..if your willing to make sacrifices
  • $700.00 an't going to get to far now days. I think I would find that job maybe over the internet or by a Friend over there first. Before I went on a one way ride. More or less, you need to know that there is something waiting there for you.....Good Luck...
  • Billy: did you go on your adventure? I just read your question, so it is a bit late. But I was going to say to check out if there is a YMCA or somesuch hostel in Phoenix...very cheap and usually quite safe. There are also job-finding resources where you can go with your resume and register. Not having a pemanent address may go against you..but not with employers who are looking for someone with guts and spunk! Lots of construction jobs, as I observed when there....if you are willing to do anything like that you'll be fine. It is an adventure...go for it!
  • Midland Tx. is hottest economy in nation right now & BEGGING for able bodies to fill jobs. John
  • I came here with less. train tickets are priced on availability so book ahead. you'll love it here
  • depends on your background and experience. I've made it to here for far less than $700, and finding a fairly affordable place right now should not be too hard, but finding a job, that won't be easy. To the person who says there are lots of construction jobs, haha. yeah right, that was true maybe 2 years ago. Construction is DEAD now, so don't even think about it if that's all you know. There's a ton of illegals here willing to work for far less than you're willing, so if you want to do well, you better be in an occupation that doesn't compete directly with them: like high tech or software.
