well that is a hard one. Bulemia has so many other effects like it rotts your teeth but anorexia is like yhur scared of food. i would never want to be either cos they sound scary but probably bulemic.
-
anorexic
-
I'm already bulimic. I just forget to vomit. Seriously, though, I'd rather be anorexic because I vomiting is so nasty. I don't think I'd ever have the discipline to do it, though. I can't imagine not eating.
-
Neither, both are deadly. I'd rather find a way to health. But I guess it's easier to find your way out of bulimia, as most anorexic patients die.
-
That is a fucked up question. I have suffered from both for years and don't know why anyone would wish for either.
-
neither! why would anyone "chose" to have one of these. Thats like saying would you rather have cancer or HIV? Nobody generally choses these inllness, they just happen. They can be life threatening and are very serious problems.
-
bulimic because you dont have to starve your self to lose weight and you can only through up after you eat something.
-
Let me just provide with with some common side effects from both illnesses: Bulima: Throat/mouth ulcers Your enamel on your teeth errodes so first you get more cavities and then your teeth discolor (permanently) and eventually will be destroyed You get black hairs on your chin and face You get severe stomach problems Anorexia: Your hair can fall out You are always cold you bruise easily You can cause permanent kidney/heart/liver damage Your bones become brittle You bruise easily It takes longer for cuts to heal Your brain functioning decreases You can get sores on your body Lowered ability to fight off infection And both can be deadly.

i have been both. i'd rather be dead, personally. they're hell. but i'd rather be anorexic. both are deadly, but believe it or not, bulimia is more immediately dangerous. bulimia doesn't drastically change a person's weight or appearance, so many bulimics go undetected for years and can die suddenly of gastric rupture or a heart attack without anyone knowing why. anorexia is usually caught faster. i also find anorexia to be slightly less emotionally shattering. i would rather eat nothing than constantly binge and purge. that sounds horrible to say, but i'm just being honest.

anorexic. frm personal experience id say bulemia is failing anorexics..

Tough call. Anorexia is less brutal, but in the long run is more detrimental to the body. A few years ago, I watched a program on the oldest anorexic, a 30-something woman, has to eat regurgitated cakes--one every half hour. It was either that, or be hooked up through a tube for the rest of her life. It was painful to watch. And she looked to be in her late 50s. Sometimes, I'm part-time anorexic. I just don't feel like eating, even though my stomach is crying. I haven't starved myself enough to put myself in the hospital--well, not since that time when I was 15.

neither....narcoleptic......that way I can sleep and get away with it...;)

Let's see... Would I rather have vitamin and mineral deficiencies, gastrointestinal problems, chronic sore throats, eruption of my esophagus, tears in the lining of my stomach, chronic kidney problem, tooth decay, and an irregular heartbeat that can lead to cardiac arrest? Or irregular periods, fine hair all over my body, including my face, dry/scaly skin, stomach problems , heart problems, and other related medical complications that are also quite serious and can result in death? Hmm... this is a tough one. Thank goodness these aren't really my only two options, yes, I'll pass on both. http://www.parentteen.com/teen_anorexia.html http://www.parentteen.com/teen_bulimia.html
