Is there going to be a Halo 4?

Maybe. There might be another Halo. They are fun.

Alright...so there are some flaws to it but at the end of halo2 when he says "Finish the Fight" that kinda says that halo 3 would end there...and also "The Halo Trilogy" that also means that halo 3 would be the last one....but heres the thing..at the end of halo 3 after the credits are over if you beat it on legendary...when there is a close up on master cheif when he says something like "I think its over" or "The war ends here" or something...if you look at his shoulder..and dont forget you have to beat it on legendary...on his shoulder there is a printed 4 and then right after that he says "wake me if you need me" they start floating off into another planet....not saying there will be for sure a halo 4 but there is a good chance they mite surpise everyone after they make HALO WARS which is a game that takes place before the first halo...and tells you how spartan john 117 survived...any way i hope this helps

I really hope not. 1 and 2 were good, but the 3rd, not that good. They would just be dragging it on in my opinion

well at the moment the movie isnt going anywhere theyve got spielburg on for it but universal who was origionally gonna finance it pulled out then sony join and pulled out so while theres a lot of people fighting to keep it afloat it isnt going anywhere...yet. And also Bungie said they werent gonna make another halo after ODST key word is they because its been said by various bungie people (not bungie itself but the employees alone) that there WILL be a HALO 4 made by god knows who yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

I would say yes, seeing how the game ends. The next one might take place on Onyx, the black planet, and he'll meet the real Cortana. Also, there's going to be Halo: Reach, which might be Halo 4, just not by that name.

When you buy Halo 3: ODST it comes with an invitation to Halo: Reach which is supposedly the fourth Halo but idk if it is technically the fourth one or if its just a prologue to the whole series.

if everything goes to plan and buget then there should be a halo 7.

We will get more games in the Halo Universe. But I doubt you will ever see a game called Halo 4. The war with the Covenant is over, Earth is safe for now. But the Halo universe is massive and the potential for future titles is just as large. We will see I expect some RPG's maybe another RTS if Halo Wars does well. And the possability of a future story arc involving the Master Chief and a new threat to humanity or their new found tentative allies, the Elites.

That is in truth, (From what I gathered at least.) A yes, and no question.
No meaning that the Master Chief story will not continue after the events of Halo 3. (At least not yet, Bungie has not said. But one watching the Legendary ending would say there is a slim chance.) But who is to say that they will not make a Master Chief game that would take place before the events of Halo?
And the yes would be that they are making a new Halo.
First is the EXP pack to Halo 3, which is Halo 3: ODST.
Second, would be that Bungie is putting full eforts into a Halo game, (Forgive me I forgot the title.) That will take place within the events that was laid out in the Halo: The Fall of Reach novel.
And also, (Even though it sucked.) in some way Halo Wars was Halo 4.

well if you read about halo 3 ODST you will find out that there is going to be a big ending at the end of the game and it talks about the Spartan Blue team for ghost of onyx and i think there is going to be a halo 4 and master chief is going to run in to his fellow Spartans. If that happens this game will be sweet!!!

I highly believe so. It probably won't be called "Halo 4" and it definitely won't be made by Bungie, since "Halo Reach" was Bungie's last title. Heck, we may see Halo Roleplaying games, or another RTS. We won't know until another is announced.

probably - they shouldnt end it on such a cliffhanger.. it makes my anxiety explode! I recon they will probably bring it out when the next xbox hits stores to promote it.. as microsoft earns the right and are relative moneygrabbers

Well no one knows if master chief died or not so they could bring out another but would be hard to find a story line? I hope they dont ruin it though by making to many and destroy the game

Yes there is going to be a Halo 4. At least that's what I think. So the people who say that Master Chief dies...well if you beat the game in Legendary, the Master Chief says "wake me when you need me." Doesn't that tell you that there is going to be a Halo 4? Then that freaky music at the end when they were drifting toward the planet,come on =) Well now that I think about it, it is either a cliff hanger or they are making a Halo 4. I don't know, but I hope they are.

I think there is going to be a halo 4 for sure because they wouldnt just leave the master chief floating off to some strange planet...

there might be i havent beat halo3 on legandary but you might play as arabiter or a alite but thats just my thought

My answer- probably yes
If you complete Halo 3 Campaign on Legendary difficulty, the end shows the ship drifting towards a planet, I dunno wat, but its just like that.
Anyway, you will probably be playing as MC first, then maybe switch over to the Arbiter, who probably gets into some kind of trouble and flies away of something to meet MC somewhere and the Arbiter will go "OMG I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE STILL ALIVE" or something like that. Besides, Bungie won't just END RIGHT THERE AT HALO 3 LIKE "POOF!" or something, they should start Halo 4 and stuff, so that maybe the Flood will become a permanent goody and the Brutes also join, or probably the Elites leave, or maybe a new character comes in, or maybe even more Spartans like in Halo Wars. If Bungie will create Halo 4, I suggest that they make some improvements to some of the weapons. Maybe a new grenade or a weapon... or maybe a new vehicle or map. Maybe give us more money in Forge. They should make the humans build a couple more Spartan Mjolnir armors, so you could have ally Spartans :D. 300!
