hun i don't think she'd be mature emotionally even if she was mentally. anyways that's a rough age to begin "relationships" anyways. if you feel for her what you think you do, give her space to grow and things will work out for the best if they're meant to be. but i'm all for you guys being friends and keeping close as time goes on

No. 7th grade seems young to date and 5th grade is just way to soon. They may look the same but it seems like trouble for everyone concerned if this happened.

How can a 7th grader date at all? When I was in seventh grade I didn't have job to get a girl flowers. I had to get my mom to drive me around. And if I took a 5th grader to the school "dance" I would have been made fun of endlessly.

no.. sounds strange. 5th you are a child... 7th you are are pre teen or teen... the brain is different.

That doesn't say much about the guy, if he's only as mature as the 5th grader. That having been said -- at that young age, it's really not up to either of you, but your parents to determine whether you're old enough to "date"...
