The surgery.
-
To be frank with you both are frightening enough for me.
-
Depends On The Surgery. If You Were Wide Awake And There Was No Ansthesia, I Would Probaly Pass Out And Wake Up In The Middle Screaming My Head Off, Then Pass Out Again. Poor Doctors.
-
The needle!!! I hate needles, and getting the I.V. or the shots....oh no!
-
the surgeon
-
Definitly, anesthesia.

I was only put out for surgery once and it was back in the 50s and they gave me ether. To this day, I only have had local anesthesia for minor surgeries. Ether was very harrowing to go under; it felt like I was suffocating on inhaled plastic. To this day, I go nuts whenever I pick up that ether odor.

Niether, I let my husband worry about being scared. I just go in get my drugs then wake up just fine. He does enough for both of us.
-
We had a patient in the other day and I had to do a continuous peripheral nerve block and it was just up on their arm, and I swear she must have asked us at least 15 times if she was going to be totally unconscious, which she wasn't & we told her that many times. But anyway, the surgery went fine, but I would say she was more scared of the anesthesia than the surgery.
-
Anesthesia, i am not worried about surgery, just not waking up or my mind being awake in the surgery.
-
Anesthesia because you may not wake up from it.
-
I hate the idea of being totally in someone else's hands. ( Unless, of course, it's my wife's hands! ) Heh!
-
Anesthesia
-
anestesia
-
Having a Cannula inserted in the back of my hand EWWWW!!
-
The anesthesia...I'm afraid it would only put me half out, like I knew what was going on but couldn't talk or something.
-
Neither. I've been under a few times. But statistically, the anesthesia is a bit dandgerous. But, those 8 seconds before you go to la la land feel pretty good. The hangover sucks.
-
SURGERY of course!!! Anasthesia is just putting me to sleep, helping me not to feel. During surgery they would cut and burn and meddle with my innards as much as they like, then stitch me up again. Many things may go wrong during the surgery, whereas much less things can go wrong during anasthesia!
