Is he a big dog or a little dog. If he's a big one..he wants to take you for walkies but if he's a little one he wants you to pamper him.
-
He considers what sauce to cook you in.
-
Your dog is waiting for you to play, or groom, or do something else that it loves doing with you. Or maybe it's waiting to go out potty.
-
If you're eating a sandwich, he wants a bite. I always give my dog the last bite, and he knows it.
-
perhaps it fancies you - beggars can't be choosers, this may be your only chance to have sex.
-
He loves you and wants your attention.
-
Hmmmmm...I think I'll stay quiet on this one. :)
-
He is protecting you because you provide him with food and a place to stay and you do not abuse him.
-
he loves you......unconditionally.
-
He probably sees you as a giant, walking steak
-
you travell too much, and don't it much attention when you are home!!!!
-
because he loves you and waiting for you to give him some attention
-
Because to your dog, you're the Beatles.
-
I think because dogs cannot talk, they try to show their emotions through their eyes.
-
My dog does the same thing! I'll be laying down on the bed and he'll just jump up and lay on my stomach at look at my eyes. What's even funnier is when he randomly comes up to me and gives me just on lick on the cheek and then walk away. He's so funny.
-
well you must be staring at him to know he is staring lol. usually its because they adore you-- or you have something they want. my dog stares at me when iam in bed to wake me up!!
-
I realize after years being with dogs, that if any of my dog stop what its doing and just stare at me constantly he needs potty break...i have observed this behaviour and after some time i found out that each time any of them started to look at me they were telling me they need to go for bussiness... Other times they will stare is when you have food and they focused on it,or if you train obedience because they focus, sometimes before you take them for a walk, but the constant staring right into your eyes means [im in need for potty break]...at least with my 22 dogs..so i think is gotta be something behind this behaviour...

Your dog is being a good, submissive pet and waiting for your next instruction. If a dog ignores you at all times and just does what it wants, then you have a problem.
-
He still can't believe you "went" with that hairstyle.
-
my last dog used to stare at me do everything! it was cute! i miss him, we had to give him away 2 years ago b/c he wasn't right for the family.
-
he's thinking, lunch
-
He loves you.......
-
dogs that stare directly into your eyes are trying to dominate you.. if you look back and stare into its eyes and it dosent look away continue to stare unbreaking eye contact until it looks away then you know it has submitted to you. staring is a challenge and if you give in the dog has won and may try more severe attempts to dominate you such as growling or biting when you try to move it or take something away from it. you must be pack leader to have full control of your dog, they need a leader to be happy. if experenced this behaviour before in my dogs and just staring them down is very effective.
-
He loves you, he knows if he stares long enough you'll notice, and he wants food! lol
-
Maybe he wants to play
-
its because he loves his mam so he does
-
From the research that I have done... most dogs stare at their owners to bond with them if it seems like your dog is doing it for no reason. My dog does that alot and I can see a little smile when she does it. When she wants to play she brings her toy when she has to go potty she runs back and forth waiting for me to follow her but when she wants to bond... she stares! Your doggy loves you!! =)

She/he is wondering why you are wearing that funny hat,and clown nose.
-
Consider that dogs are pack animals that take their cue from the alpha. If your dog is "obedient" to you, consider that your dog is waiting for you to provide direction.
-
he could be questioning your position at the head of the pack.
-
it may want your nuts... (nuts being a figure of speech.) =)
