Every once in awhile, late at night, you can see fat birds flopping around on the ground, but they all disappear by 4 am.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the big Bengal Tiger Cats? They all are now living in the back rooms of fast food restaurants. Stray animals, anyone??

I have before. However, the reason it's rare is because they usually call animal control. Animal Control (and shelters) are the "clean up crew" for the human mistake of domesticating animals as pets, then selling them for profit like toilet paper or dish soap. Until we realize as a whole that these creatures are not living, feeling individuals who shouldn't be forced to breed, used, abused and thrown out like common garbage, this problem will never go away. It will continue to be swept under the rug by Animal Control and city shelters.

I've seen seagulls and cats by their dumpsters. My guess is the rats would attack any other animal who dares to trespass on their food source.
-
Nope. I just figured that the animals were too intelligent to make fast food their sole source of nutrition.

because the trash is locked up.....(oh look at that, i just ruined the joke) Because animals are smarter than we think....
-
Because I think that they have the instint that if humans are mean enough to leave them to wander the streets why should they eat human food? I think that they just don't feel right eating human food that is left out in the middle of a city. Isn't it out there for a reason.

owners hit them with brooms

I worked at a fast food place as a teenager. We never had stray animals. Oh, there is the joke about dogs and cats getting mixed up in the ground beef. But we never saw any. You do see them around "slow food" places, don't you know!
