He tends to use his wah wah pedal too much..but he always played in a three piece group which is very hard to pull off..bands these days cannot perform with just three people on a stage...shame on today's music...

I think he's very good and his best work was the "Bridge of Sighs" recording. He's in that second tier of guitar players. The first includes, Clapton, Hendrix, Page, Jeff Beck. Second tier players are Trower, David Gilmour, Paul Kossoff, Rick Derringer, Richie Blackmore, Leslie West, Rory Gallagher and so on. Like Gilmour he uses a lot of effects, too much for some peoples tastes. I thought the most tasteful was "Bridge of Sighs."
