In the part of the jet engine where the air is at a high compression, but hasn't been mixed with fuel there is a small hole that allows some of this air to be pumped into the cabin.

Outflow valves in the fuselage open or close to maintain a comfortable pressure in the cabin.

On turbine aircraft the pressure taken from the compressor end of the engine often P-7. The air is cooled through an inner cooler because as you compress air it get hot. It is then sent into the fuselage. The Outflow valves are controlled by the pilot or filght engineer to maintain a pressure altitude inside the aircraft. This same air pressuer from the engine is used to heat the aircraft through the innercooler or if airconditioning is needed the air is sent through the "air-cycle machine" where it is cooled for AC use.
