  • Ideal temperatures for storing wine are between 50-55 degrees F with humidity at 70 degrees or slightly higher. The higher humidity helps keep the corks moist and reduces evaporation of the wine. Regular refrigerators are cooler than this and have lower humidity that will dry the corks and cause wine evaporation. All wines should be stored at these temperatures. Before serving, you would usually let red wines warm up a little. However, Chardonnay is usually served at 50 degrees.
