Help answer this question below.
What you have stumbled upon is the classic Problem of Evil, which goes something like this:
1: God exists.
2: God is omnipotent, omniscient, and perfectly good.
3: A perfectly good being would want to prevent all evils.
4: An omniscient being knows every way in which evils can come into existence.
5: An omnipotent being, who knows every way in which an evil can come into existence, has the power to prevent that evil from coming into existence.
6: A being who knows every way in which an evil can come into existence, who is able to prevent that evil from coming into existence, and who wants to do so, would prevent the existence of that evil.
7: If there exists an omnipotent, omniscient, and perfectly good being, then no evil exists.
8: Evil exists (logical contradiction).
People!! We're all here for a reason, God breathed life into us because we were the ones chosen to live on earth and fulfill whatever we're hear to fulfill. He loves all of us, regardless of the path that WE choose to take in life. We're his creation, some just loose faith along the way, and turn against him. He still loves you, just not condoning the behavior or thoughts that the devil has fabricated your life with. We all commit sins but the answer is to Run To God, not run away from him.
Yes, He does. He only hates the evil we do. Like a parent loves their child but hates some of their decisions because they desire the best for them.
God hates lying, murdering, adultury, fornicating, stealing, etc... Notice I didn't say he hates the people, but the acts. He cares so much and feels so strongly about the evil we do because of the hurt and pain it causes in our lives and those we are near.
God loves everyone, no matter what we've done.
Yes He certainly does, as He has proven.
The Bible writer John wrote: “God is love,” and “the love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent forth his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins.” How great the obligation, then, to love one another! Those who love others have God remain in union with them, and thus love has been made perfect that they “may have freeness of speech,” throwing fear outside.
“As for us,” says John, “we love, because he first loved us.” “The one who loves God should be loving his brother also.” See John 4:3, 8, 10, 17, 19, 21.
Yes Jehovah God is the greatest Giver of all.
It was with regard to him, the Creator of heaven and earth, that the Christian disciple James wrote: “Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, for it comes down from the Father of the celestial lights, and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow.” (James 1:17)
Jehovah is also the Giver of the greatest gift that could ever be given.
Concerning his greatest gift to mankind, it was said:
“God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”—John 3:16.
God IS love.
Definitely. There’s not a single one of us (save Jesus) whose actions are 100% God-approved, but that doesn’t mean He doesn’t love us. He’s our dad, for crying out loud! I don’t approve of everything my kids do, either, but that doesn’t mean I ever stop loving them. :-)
I believe that he does : )
If you mean the god of the bible, than by no means does he love everyone.
Yes.
God loves all people unconditionally. This means there are no conditions needed to be met to merit His love.
God loves the worst sinner just as much as He loves the best saint.
Being Love, God can do nothing else.
This does not mean that He approves of all of our actions. There is a fundamental difference between love and approval.
Some people call this "love the sinner, hate the sin."
Anyone who states, "God hates these people or those people" does not understand basic Christianity.
Here are a couple of quotes about God as Love from C. S. Lewis that I really like:
"He [God] has paid us the intolerable compliment of loving us, in the deepest, most tragic, most inexorable sense. .... Love, in its own nature, demands the perfecting of the beloved; ... mere "kindness" which tolerates anything except suffering in its object is, in that respect, at the opposite pole from Love."
"You ask for a loving God; you have one ... not a senile benevolence that drowsily wishes you to be happy in your own way, not the cold philanthropy of a conscientious magistrate, not the care of a host who feels responsible for the comfort of his guests, but the CONSUMING FIRE HIMSELF, the Love that made the worlds, persistent as the artist's love for a child, jealous, inexorable, exacting as love between the sexes..."
"The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell."
See also the fourth chapter of the first letter of John.
With love in Christ.
I wonder if he loved Ted Bundy
We should follow God's example ... love the person, hate the wrong behavior.
yeppers
If he did not we would not exist right now.
Yes,He does,He gave us a home,a lover to love,He cared for us,He forgives our sins.
Absolutely
I believe He does -- He may be disappointed in our actions at times, but that doesn't change the fact that He does love us.
When and If I get to heaven I'll be sure to ask!! Until then, going on blind faith, I would say YES.
God is almost certainly imaginary.
So he loves us if one imagines him to.
So it's interesting to see the god Christians made up:
All powerful and all knowing.
[NEWS FLASH 1000 children are born every day only to die of starvation before their 1st birthday.]
All loving - He proved his love bu sending his son to be tortured to death.
[QUESTION Has any parent reading this shown his love for his children by torturing one to death? Aren't there more appropriate ways to show love for your children like perhaps preventing those mentioned in the above NEWS FLASH?]
The simple logical fact of this is that if god were to exist he couldn't be both omnipotent and loving simultaneously.
Christian will try to answer this by another wonderful contradiction:
God is too great and vast for us to understand yet they will tell me all about free will and that god loves us so much he allows us to suffer and all kinds of other ways in which they understand the obvious contradiction of the un-understandable.
No - there is only one reasonable conclusion.
If there is a god s/heIt is beyond human understanding hence doesn't resemble the god described by any human religion. But if there were such a one - there'd be no way for people to recognize s/heIt.
Everything people claim to know about gods is made up. Plain and simple.
some more than others quite obviously
Yes. Love, believe it or not, is the prime motive force in the universe. The Bible teaches that "God IS love."
You need to ask this question every person who is about to die a totally unnecessary dreadful painful death...
If God loves everyone, why, in the Old Testament, did he cause so many people ot die, and why do people end up in Hell?
Yes he does. He died for us if thats not love then what is.
Yes he does - For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Yes, God loves everyone. Not everyone reciprocates.
obviously he does, why wouldn't.
then he would never made us.
Yes.
He hates sin.
My 2 cents.
Yes. God really does love everyone. God may not approve of our actions, but He will always love all of us.
It would be hard to say. Many millions of people have died from various epidemics like the black plague and influenza, floods, droughts, etc.
God knew (because He knows all) that (despite so called free will) most of us are doomed to Hell to suffer horribly, every minute, forever and ever. So, your question makes me laugh. And throw up a little.
He loves kicking me in the sack
I'm assuming you're talking about the Christian god. In that case, I'd say Sure!
Except For:
Homosexuals
Free-Thinkers
Strong Women
Fornicators
Adulterers
Jews (Come on, you know about all that weird Jew-hate in Christianity that doesn't make any damn sense.)
Pagans
Wiccans
Rights Activists
Vegans. God especially hates Vegans. Damn us and our not wanting to murder animals. To hell with us!
;)
She certainly does!
Yes God does really care about us.
We can be sure that he is keenly aware of any suffering we may undergoing currently in our lives.
The psalmist David wrote: “The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their cry for help. Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:15, 18)
Here are links to two very fine articles that show further how He does care:

http://www.watchtower.org/e/200611/article_02.htm
as hard as it is for us to imagine...YES He does.
Beyond the shadow of ANY human doubt........
Yes. He gets around.
I am not so sure God does love everyone. He said Jacob I loved but Esau I hated. He hardened the heart of Pharoah and others throughtout the Old Testament. Whom God calls those He also chooses to be His children.
Jesus says that many were kept from understanding the word so they would not turn from their sins and be saved.
If god exists, which I don't believe, then apparently not, given the huge amount of mental and physical suffering that goes on in his/her/its name.
And then, if this is the case, what is hell for if he really loves everybody.
And why, in Exodus, does this god command that certain people should be slain?
No, there's far too much evidence to the contrary.
obviously not if he creates people then if they dont belief in him he sends them to Hell. not much love there.
if he loves everyone, then hell was made in vain.
Yes even the people that don't know him
yes, i am thankful for good that he gave me such a good life
just never do mistakes, or trusting and lying and i am sure god ll love you as he does ;)
The creation is called Love but we do not reciprocate so we get other vibes from That! It is like a reflection in the mirror. What you are is what you get!You show love and it will reflect love but if you show hatred then that's what you get too!
(((YES))) This is why he gave his son, Jesus on the cross....
I doubt it.
If God loves us, why are there starving children around the globe? Why do people kill each other over differences in religion? Why do we still have things like torture? Why is there spousal abuse? Why do undeserving people get away with their crimes?
If God is an omnipotent being as many say he is, why does he not come to Earth and fix the planet that he created?
If God loves his people, why did he kill 2,038,334 more than Satan in the Old Testament?
If God truly has his own message to give, why are there so many religions?
If God is just, why can people be allowed to rape, rob, and kill each other if they have enough money?
And the most important question of all...
If God can protect anyone, why does the pope travel in vehicles behind 3 inches of bulletproof glass?
Does God really love or care about us? ANSWER: Yes, of course He does.
God being the Creator didn't stop him (Satan) and why? ANSWER: God did not stop Lucifer (whose name changed to Satan when he became evil) because all of God's people have free will of choice.
Is God testing us? ANSWER: The short version is yes, this earth and the life we live here is a testing ground, but the better description would be that it is essentially a court and we are all on trial. But you say, huh? What do you mean? Well, if you really want to know the meaning do some research on the Three Earth Ages, by Pastor Arnold Murray. In this study you will find exactly why we are on this earth, who we actually are, and where we will be in the afterlife.
Yes, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son......
Well, it seems to me you allowed others (George Carlin, etc...), to persuade you not to believe in God.
Which may be very similar to those of us who were persuaded, to believe in God.
Let me give you another perspective, one writer put it this way (paraphasing) sin is allowed to continue until it's climax, (which is death and destruction of everything it consumes), only for the universe to see it's propensities, and each individual decide for themselves, life or death.
Which God?
The loving saviour? The wrathful lord? The mysterious spirit? The vindictive sacrificer?
Oh wait...they're all the same...Huh!?
He LOVES EVERYONE !!!!!! just some of us refused to be saved =(
I like to think of god as the thunder god who teaches Earth Realm warriors to protect us from the forces from the nether realm to give us a fighting chance against Shao Khan and his allies...What do you think of God?

You're reading Does God really love everyone?
- which can also be phrased in the following ways:
Comments
what you're suggesting is that God would have to remove the potential for evil, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. How do you take away someone's ability to lie with out taking away their creativity. God made us to be complex creatures, complex enough to have the potential for evil. otherwise we would be less than what we are and what we will become. now we are fallen, God did make everything perfect. but we have sinned. it's not God's fault. the only way to stop you from sinning is to stop you from living, but he wants you to live. that's why he offers redemption. one day everything will be perfect again(even better,) then the potential for evil will have been realized, and overcome by the redeemed. this omniscient being knows that evil has to be delt with, not just avoided/prevented.
by ninjax7 on April 14th, 2011
No, that's what he suggested. I simply pointed out that he had stumbled over the Problem of Evil, which is a over 2000 year old logical dilemma.
But the problem with stating that we have free will and therefore there is evil, is that it'll have to mean that "God" isn't omnipotent, which in turn would make it infinitively easy to create a world with both free will and no evil.
And what about "natural" evils? Natural disasters are not caused by humans, and if such a being as "God" exists, then he is responsible for creating them in the first place and then not protecting humans from them.
by TSCTH on April 15th, 2011
The flaw commonly overlooked in the Classical Logic "Problem of Evil" is in the misconception of the term omnipotent... There are a lot of people with the misconception that is means since God is all-powerful, God must therefore always be using those powers... This is adding to the definition... Omnipotent means All-powerful or in possession of every ability... And just because you have the ability does not mean you are required to express it... i.e. I have the ability to drive my car to LA, I do not, but I do... There is an old adage that sums it up very tidy... "Should you do it just because you can?" I believe that God, in his omnipotence, is also omniscient, and God knows better than me when God will chose to do and express God's abilities...
P.S. #6... Where does it state that God wants to prevent the existence of all evil? That is assumption (An assumption I would agree with, but an assumption nonetheless) and assumptions cannot be part of logical reasoning... You apply reasoning to assumptions, not use them to prove them...
by Topher on April 15th, 2011
@Topher: I didn't make it, i just pointed out that the questioner had stumbled upon the Problem of Evil. There exists many version, but i chose to give him an example of the most wide used one.
by TSCTH on April 15th, 2011
I know you did not create it, I have heard this one, and other variations of it, before... I was just merely pointing out the most common flaw in it... And that is the assumption concerning the term omnipotent... I did not mean to act you in any way... I am a firm believer in debating arguments, not criticizing people...

i concur topher.
