Go to health food store and ask for ear candles. Try once for 3-4 days in a row. Follow instructions carefully. The repeat heat will sterilize inner ear and neutralize infection. Also clean out ear wax.

Dear Itchy, I know someone who had a staph infection in her ear, and she had it for more than 2 months. She had a hard time getting rid of it and now she is on her 4th course of antibiotics. Staph infection can become resistant to many antibiotics. With your doctors help you can try an antibiotic that will work for you. I would advise you to see an ENT specialist and have him test you for staph MRSA. An ear culture will help determine the type of bacteria you have and this way it can be treated appropriatly. Have your doctor test you for a blood culture for mrsa or any other bacterial infection. Staph infection can spread anywhere in the body and can be life threatening. An untreated staph infection can spread to the brain and cause enciphiltis (a brain infection). I would also recommend that you see a naturopathic doctor. Combining antibiotic therapy with alternative and effective treatments yields excellent results. To confirm the infection has been treated effectively a nose culture can be done; this needs to be performed twice and show negative results before you can confirm your infection has been treated. I have a staph infection in my ear as well. It is very painful. My doctor prescribed an ointment to apply (2x a day) to the infected area. It has not got rid of the infection, but it has reduced the swelling, bleeding, crusting and puss, and some pain. Im sorry, I am not at home right now and can't remember the name of the cream, but your doctor should be able to help with that. Keep in mind this isn't an alternative to antibiotics but does ease some of the symptoms that come along with this stubborn infection. Hope this helps! Dennis P.S.
