  • Non-chain. We have great small coffee-shops in Germany.
  • Never heard of Caribou. But to be honest I'd probably go to Starbucks because I'd know what to expect there. I usually don't want to have to spend time reading an unfamiliar menu. :)
  • the corner coffee shop ...better product ...better service ...better price ... nicer people ... and I support small business
  • In whichever I am liable to get a decent cup of coffee. In Europe there are many non chain coffee shops that serve excellent coffee.
  • non chain
  • Non-Chain, Family Owned, Friendly Place. I know a family that runs a deli and it is a gold mine. At the DD they just want you in and out. This pannini sandwich was ordered by a guy who's dad runs an awesome deli and I don't know how he could eat this commercially mass prepared crap.
  • I prefer to go to Donkin Donuts.
  • I go for the place with the drive thru because i'm too lazy yo get out of my car. Sometimes that's Starbucks and sometimes thats one of the local kiosks But if I'm actually going to go in somewhere, non-chain all the way
  • I can't bear Starbucks. I can't relax in there as I always feel someone is eyeing up my seat and willing me to hurry up.
  • Non-chain. Definitely. Especially not CharBucks. They take fine varietals and roast them to within an inch of their lives causing them to all basically taste the same. I mean why even bother buying an Ethiopian Harrar or a Yemeni Mocha if you're going to roast then to dark snd ruin all varietal character they have anyway? Properly roasted, the one is chock full of blueberry aromas and the other is redolent of fine chocolate. But not after Charbucks gets through with them. It's a shame really.
  • Non-chain, or at least not Bucky's. I like to go somewhere where I'm paying for COFFEE not for a BRAND.
  • non chain. usually less business but i like the fact that there aren't as many people. spacy and i don't have to feel rushed. plus i'm always into the places that give off a sense of familiarity
  • I rarely drink coffee. If I do, a convenience store is fine.
  • no chain
  • neither. Home brew all the way. I control it all except for the roasting.
  • Take that chain and shove it up your ass!!! Without exception, every cup I've had from a chain has been disappointing. Weak brew made (sometimes hours ago) from cheap beans ground last month by a disgruntled wage-slave who would OBVIOUSLY like to be elsewhere. The non-chain places we have here know how to make a nice, strong cuppa. They use better beans, more of 'em, and the service is SSOOO much better. Plus, it helps the local economy. Starbucks has enough money from shtoopid people who think that more stores = better coffee; they don't need MY money too.
  • Nobody beats Dunkin Donuts. Starbucks hasn't grasp the concept of a plain black coffee, not to mention it's over priced.
  • I don't drink coffee. But to me so long as the coffee taste, it would not matter to me.:}
  • Starbucks for coffee. But i would say Dunkin Donuts!
  • A family owned small place. They always seem to be more comfortable and relaxed.More friendly too.
