  • If I recall correctly a humans ticklishness is a way for them to be alerted of bad things crawling on the body such as ticks, poisonous spiders etc. So being ticklish is a natural response which is just as important to your well-being as pain. Of course if someone intentionally tickles you the sensation will be greater due to the awareness of the tickler and areas they may tickle you. As to the exact biological explanation, I'm not quite sure.
  • Well in my opinion i believe that it originated from our ancestors. If you think about it the areas that are generally tickly on people are points where if we were being chased by a wild animal we would most likely be bitten and die e.g around the neck, on the stomach, on the back of the knees and under the arms. I dont know if thats right but thats jst my opinion
  • My sister is ticklish to a lot of things. It's mostly seems to come from her alertness of someone tickling her. If you for say, tickles yourself, it would not have the pronounced effect that it would have if someone else did it to you.
