They've been threatening to replace fractions with decimals 30 years. I hope I don't have to learn to read recipes all over again.

Actually the more digital the world gets the more important fractions become. It's not all about 1/4 = .25 A lot of complex computer languages involve advanced calculus, and many equations are only solvable/comprehendable to us through fractions. Integral trigonometric functions for example would be a nightmare with decimals.
