  • Generally return policies are purely optional whether they are from car dealerships or retail stores. There are no state laws or regulations that require dealerships to allow you to return a car. It has been my experience, however, that many dealerships will allow you to exchange a vehicle if it has less than 1000 miles and you are trading up for a vehicle that is of equal or higher value.
  • The return provision (if any) will be stated in your contract or purchase agreement with the dealer. (Corrected text - I supplied inaccurate information earlier) "When you sign a contract, in most cases you cannot change your mind and cancel. So it is always a good idea to take your time and consider your purchases carefully before you sign. However, under both state and federal law, Washington consumers do have the right to cancel a contract in some cases." Go to the link below to see if any of those cases apply to you - at my first glance it appears not. Wa atty general web site: http://www.atg.wa.gov/consumer/cancel.shtml
