  • The chance of AIDS being transmitted through saliva alone is almost zero. If that person injures their mouth or has bleeding gums, it could be likely. Open wounds/sores are easy places for disease, virus, and infection to start.
  • technically... yes. but it woudl be very very difficult. first - their saliva would have to enter your open sore. secondly -- their saliva would have to contain blood... which is highly unlikely. YOu actually have tons of little cuts in your mouth, but they heal almost instantly...
  • Theoretically yes, if there was contact of bodily fluids on an open sore...but keep in mind that there is very little risk of transmission through saliva.
  • No. You don't get AIDS from anything. AIDS is a complication of HIV. There is little to no chance of contracting HIV from saliva, as the virus doesn't survive well in saliva.
