Joe Casey wrote the last 7 issues of The Incredible hulk volume 2 #s 468-474, during this run it was revealed that The Abomination was responsible for Betty Ross's (Banners wife) death, but then it was revealed that it actually was the exposure to the gamma radiation from Banner/Hulk that killed Her. The most infamous story involved hulk being knocked out by a python by constricting around Hulks neck although this is a story being told by a criminal called "The Clown" so You draw Your own conclusions. I believe He also wrote "The Last Defenders" which Hulk appeared in.
