This is not an endorsement, just a fact. The only candidate who says that they would bring the troops home immediately is Ron Paul. All the rest said that the troops will be there until at least after their first term ends. I take that as "Translation: The 2nd biggest air base in the world is being built in Baghdad, so the troops ain't going nowhere in the next few thousand years."

That's hard to tell. Most candidates say one thing as they campaign, but do another when then actually get into office once met with current circumstance of policies. Predicting might be hard, but if I had to guess, I'd go with Obama on the Democratic ticket and Ron Paul on the Republican. My opinion on pulling out now is mixed. On one hand, our troops need to come home. However, on the other hand, we've gotten so deep into this mess that if we pull out now, we would be both condemning an entire region to turmoil and chaos that would spread like wild-fire and we'd also look even worse than we do now to other world countries. We're currently more or less a leaky pressure valve in the Middle East. I think the best thing to do would be to slowly withdraw our troops (which people say they'll do, but don't) and train replacements from the native area much more than we are.
