At boot camp I went to medical with a pained ankle. He told me I was making it up to get out of training. Two weeks later I went back and the same doctor told me I had fractured my fibula. Just like the Navy to change their mind like that... :P

I had a really bad stomach ache when I was 17 and told my doctor I thought it was an ulcer. He told me I was crazy and that I was too young to have one. I ended up having emergency surgery the next week to stop a bleeding ulcer.

Yes... I had an aneurysms which clotted leading to an infarction, but the only symptoms were pain an kidney failure... they put it down to a pulled muscle and an infection, proscribing bed rest an antibiotics, for a week. Until one doctor actually had a look and said it might be muscle death, and wanted to cut off my leg... I wouldn’t let them, I ordered a bypass and hope the crap that ha built up behind the clot would just be pumped back into my system an removed by my kidneys, but unfortunately they weren't doing so hot... I had a massive heart attack, and developed liver failure due to the sodium and potassium. I eventually settle for the mid-ground surgery after I went into shock, because of the pain, they went in an remove the damaged tissue, due to the extent of the tissue remove the utility of the leg is severally compromised.

Yes, when I as 16 some quack diagnosed me as allergic to the dye in my bathrobe. This was the cause of my burning sensation when I urinated. I had a bladder infection that ended up putting me in hospital because it was left untreated for so long because he was such an idiot. The ER doctors figured out what was wrong in less than 20 minutes.

Yes, when I was young a doctor said I had rheumatic fever and had my family in a panic and I just had measles. And many years later my husband developed a very high fever and was delirious. Got him to an old doctor at the clinic and he declared that he had scarlet fever. Two days later when we were supposed to come back, we'd figured it out and he had chicken pox for the first time even though he was in his 30s.
