No. Lice attatch their eggs veeeery close to the scalp, yes---but its on the very end of that hair, almost if not exactly to the root. Yes, very hard to get rid of. We are going through a terrible time ourselves. I have been reading that olive oil is supposed to work excellent, and we are going to try it tonight. Leave the olive oil on the hair and massage INTO the scalp overnight and comb the eggs out in the morning. I'll let you know if it works for us. :)
