What do you do if a person you can't stand starts chating with you and what SHOULD you do?

I chat with them. The only way to break down walls and come to a better understanding with people is through communication. If I refuse to speak to someone I don't like, the ill will can only persist.

Good question. I just say "yeah" and "mhmm" at the right times then walk away when i get the chance :) However, i SHOULD just introduce them to someone else and ditch them with him :)

i try to make the situation as quick and painless as possible without being rude. "yup" "no" "ok" "sure" "no thanks" "ok bye" i should probably try to engage in conversation more, but i usually avoid conversation or details

If you're a girl, maybe he's attracted to you. Just treat him normally and since you cannot stand him, find excuse not to stay too long chatting with him.

I look at my watch and say, "sorry, gotta run-- late again!" And why is it that these people never seem to pause for breath? I just interrupt those ones..
