  • As long as I am the one driving i dont have a problem with it...and listening in on the conversation makes the miles pass faster!!
  • Its happened to me ... We're not in the car, but it could be a restaurant or whatever and she pulls out her phone to call another friend, i'm thinking 'how rude'. Its not like she's on the phone for a minute, but its like 5 or more minutes. It makes me think, am i boring? At least make the call when i'm not there!!!
  • If he or she is just calling to ask a quick question or give a quick bit of information, it doesn't bother me. But, for long, drawn-out conversations, yes, it does. One friend of mine, when we travel, whips out the cell phone as soon as I start driving. He uses that time to catch up with his brother, his friends, his mom, whomever. Makes me angry because it feels like I'm just boring company.
  • it does if the call is long.
  • Yeah, Unless it's a business call then I won't have it.
  • When I'm driving, I'd rather have my passenger talking on the phone than distracting me
  • That ain't ever happened to me, but if it did I would regard it as total bullshit! Wouldn't everyone?! ;-)
  • That hasn't happen'd to me yet, but yea that would pretty much annoy the hell out of me, i would tell them that not very polite and extremely rude to call someone to talk to them when i am right here and already talking to them, unless the call was for a reason. However it sounds like your saying they blow you off and call someone just to chat, this wouldn't sit well with me at all.
  • when im driving and my passenger starts talking on their mobile........... i find that very annoying!! Especially when they automatically reach out and turn my volume control down on my radio so they can hear the other person on the end of their phone!
  • It would depend upon the circumstances. To check in with a teen, or spouse, last minute instructions on something, to let them know we are on our way...home or otherwise...no that wouldn't bother me at all.. Or if it was someone we both wanted to touch base with, someone we are supposed to meet where we are going. Also, someone they were supposed to have contacted over something specific, and they forgot to do it, because they were busy getting ready to go...Naw, that I wouldn't take offense to. What I do not think much of is if someone I'm with, we are out having dinner or something of that nature...and they GET a call, and take it, and proceed to yack away! lol This has happened with my Partner when we were out on a "date night" and her brother called to yip...THAT annoyed me a good bit, I found it rude and told her so, once she finally finished! She also gets calls for her computer business at all sorts of hours. I tend to feel that they can jolly well leave a message that she can retrieve later, if we are supposed to be out enjoying each other's company in a "date night!"
