Yes, we are 'human' animals. There are people running around acting on their most basic instinctual level, and there are others ignoring their instinctual side all together. We are certainly a very confused bunch of animals, in my opinion. :)

Yes, I always get confused when people say humans and then say animals. It doesn't make any sense. Humans ARE animals. We are Homo sapiens and belong to the Kingdom Anamalia. I really do have to think for a minute when people say something like, "These chemicals are toxic to humans as well as all animals." And, of course, there's always that guy running around like an ape (why can't a cough through cyberspace?!?) *cough* George Bush *cough*

Yes I do. But to be fair I also think of animals as humans. They deserve all the basic rights- food and shelter.

Sometimes, when I hear the term mammal. Mostly I can't help but separate them because humans have always assumed we're better than animals, because we behave so differently.

Of course. We humans deep down inside are wild beasts. I mean if you were to strip away all the laws and the technologies then we are no different than the beasts in the jungle or Caesar. We only force ourselfs to act civilized so that we can make ourselfs feel better. The only thing keeping us from falling apart is the laws and the leaders of society. If that is taken away everyman is a lone wolf.

Yes, in fact I think of people as animals roughly %100 of the time, because that's what they are. My definition of "Animal" just doesn't include all the negative assumptions a lot of people seem to attach to the word.
