My 5 year old male Boxer has started having epileptic siezures. This alone is scary but, the Vet has put him on Phenobarbital and since then he has a very strong odor(burns your eyes!) He's a house dog and never smelled bad before. Any ideas?

you could try some baking soda mixed in with his shampoo.. it rids the coat of excess grime and odor. also, my heart goes out to you for your dog's condition. my angel dog suffered with epilepsy since age 5 too and we had to put her down at age 11, last month. i know this is unsolicited advice, but having been in your shoes.. please make sure your dog gets check ups often to make sure the pheno is strong enough.. the liver can only uptake so much medication after awhile. best of luck -
