I've been there and believe me i've made some bad choices in life doing that. What i had to come to realize is that you gotta live life for you. I know thats really cliche and all that fun stuff but seriously sit back and think about it. Living life to see others happy can (and most likely will) cause you to be completly miserable. I got locked into a job that i didnt want anything to do with and now i'm stuck trying to recover from it and put some thought into what i really want to do. So with that, really think about where your life is going, and who your living it for. Are you living it for the things you wish for? Or are you living the life your parents wished for?

Its good that you want to please your family BUT sometimes you gotta think what about me, what do I want out of life? what do I want to do? Think about it, what do you want to do? You have one life and it is so short the years fly by, Im realising how quick one day past then a month and all of a sudden a year has gone. As long as you are not harming anyone you need to do your own thing, whther that be pack up and travel or do the job you have always dreamed of, or seeing the guy/girl you really like but the parents might not be too keeen on. As long as you keep your head screwed on LIVE LIFE and most importantly ENJOY it as much as you can!

Sejmet, one question may get different answers and all may be correct. They are possible choices...see it in that manner...at the end of our life, we will see the outcome...I had the same situation. I was the second child of five born to my parents. my mother always depended on me to help watch over my siblings. As I grew up, I always wanted to be a good daughter. I always felt happy to help make life better for my mother. I am now 62 yrs old. I have no regrets. I still find joy to see my mother's face that she knows that I love her dearly. Even though life brought divorce upon me; I was greatly blessed and I have wonderful sons and they are well educated and doing well.We can never outgive God. Do keep in mind that we are all different and what worked for me, does not necessarily mean that it is for you also. Remember that we have the right to choose and our choices should be the right choice for each of us. Sometimes we might feel discouraged for a time and it is natural. We all have ups and downs through life. God bless you. ac
