Check ALL your fuses both under dash and engine compartment. I'll bet that a fuse for that system is burned out. It could be that during cranking it utilizes one fuse but uses another once CRANK or START is released. I'm not positive on this but that is what I'd be doing. Let me know if it was the problem. It would be good to know for the future.

Does the vehicle have a security light on the dash? This is what would happen if the passkey antitheft system thinks the vehicle is being stolen. You can tell if the vehicle has passkey by looking at the key. If there is a small black bump on the key next to the head it has it. You could try another key to see if it will start.

check ecm power you are powering ecm on crank then u loose it .it is a pink wire
