  • If it is in text messages over a phone, then it is cool with me. If it is on AB, where people should know better, then F#$% them. I DR people for asking questions in nothing but text talk. There is a time and place for everything. AB is a place for intelligent conversation and learning, not some idiot teenager asking " Ware U at? "
  • It's ok if it's in a text message, not online though.
  • I lean more towards the hater extreme. The only thing that really, really....REALLY bothers me is when I hear someone actually speak txt talk. Last week in school, I heard someone shout "idk" instead of "I don't know" (Or even the colloquial "Dunno.") in the hallway. I had an impulse to break his neck. It just gets at me.
  • I hate it. Texting has taken a perfectly wonderful language to a new precipice of peril. We stand at the gates of the destruction of our accepted method of communication, it is time to close that gate and lock it up tight. For those of you who use texting format for your everyday linguistic tools, I declare you stupid.
  • Neither, I just choose not to do it!
