trust...compassion [best friends help each other out in times of need]...loyalty [can't have gossip can we]...and somebody that i love talking to...somebody i can learn from...and somebody that'll give me a reality slap even when i don't ask for it because i know sometimes i need it...pep talks for times when boys or men are stupid...yea good stuff like that i guess

I look for honesty and loyalty. I want my friends to tell me if I have a bad hair day, "Hey you really need to do something with your hair". Or if I am wrong then I want them to tell me I am wrong. If I need help at 5 in morning I would want my friend to help me.

I concur with Mirigotquestions - and can only add that I look for what *I* can bring to the friendship table too. I couldn't be friends with someone who regularly bashed other people, or who committed crimes regularly, for example, and if I was that kind of person, I couldn't expect them to be willing to venture into a friendship with me.
