The Bible does not indicate how old Earth or humanity is. People infer many things from the Bible such as a 6,000 - 10,000 year age for creation. But, the Bible doesn't say one thing about it.

People take all the recorded lives in the bible, add their lifetimes together, and thats how they get the "age of the earth according to the bible". Not exactly accurate huh? They say it's around 6.2k years or so.

The bible does not say!how old th earth is or any plant and animal life is. The old testimant was written in hebrew in which a day in hebrew does not refer to a literal 24hours, but it can rfer to the time to do something for example. The reference to evening and morning can symbolize a day, or that it was contnuous. The bible does give an acurate geneoligy of mankind to be about 6,000 years old.

If you count how long people lived from Adam to Nooah u can get accurate count of 9000 - 10 000 years. But then comes the gap when people spread through the world and that time is maybe like couple of 10k years or 100 000 years, you can't say.
