  • Here are the Easybeats, one of Australia's chartoppers from the 60s. Great song called "Good Times", later covered by Jimmy Barnes and INXS' Michael Hutchence.
  • Here is another 60s band, the Twilights. The lead singer is Glen SHorrock who went on to front Axiom and Little River Band.
  • What song do you choose for Cold Chisel, Australia's premiere "pub band"? THey had so many: Khe Sanh, WHen The War is OVer, Flame Trees, Cheap WIne, Breakfast at Sweetheart's...however, I will choose a live version of Bow River. Ian Moss begins and Jimmy Barnes joins in.
  • From the 80s, Icehouse. Fantastically popular in Europe too, for reasons that can be seen. Iva Davies is the singer. I have seen him perform live. Oh, wow.
  • Bands such as the stone roses, Oasis and the smiths make manchester the best place for music!
  • Little River Band, one of Australia's greatest exports, wrote some of the greatest songs of the late 70s and 80s. Extremely popular in the USA, where a version still performs. I saw them live in 1977 at Sydney Showground. They blew the lead act, Fleetwood Mac, out of the water. Their harmonies were magnificent and their music marvellous. The fabulous Glenn Shorrock was up front.
  • INXS, with the fabulous Michael Hutchence. One of the most beautiful videos ever produced, IMO. Filmed in Prague.
